There are several publications and websites that honor top Track & Field athletes. I don't feel that it's necessary to name an All-County team when others are already doing this. I want to do something fun and unique so I decided to name the Montgomery County Track & Field All-Freshman Team. These are the athletes who showed a great deal of promise in their first year of high school track. Athletes were considered based on performances in indoor and outdoor track (not cross country). Emphasis was placed on automatically-timed races as opposed to hand-timed races. It is difficult to know what grade each athlete is in, so if any deserving freshmen were left out, you can share your opinion in the forum or email webmaster@mocorunning.com.
