Division I
The Clarksburg girls took control of Division I by defeating Sherwood and Quince Orchard in the opening week. They will try to move to 4-0 this week against Seneca Valley and Springbrook. Meanwhile, the Sherwood boys, who were a bit of a surprise in defeating Clarksburg and Quince Orchard, have Wheaton this week. Quince Orchard will look to give Poolesville its first loss after Poolesville took down Springbrook.
Division II
The Northwest boys and girls will look to remain undefeated in a tri meet with Magruder and Rockville while Paint Branch is up against Einstein. If the Paint Branch and Northwest boys win, it will set up an undefeated tri meet with Damascus, who is off this week. On the girls side, Northwest should not have much trouble this week and will also be up against an undefeated Damascus team next week.
Division III
The Northwood vs. Gaithersburg girls matchup is interesting. Both teams have strong sprint relays with Gaithersburg having the edge at the Cougar Relays. Although I haven't received results for the B-CC vs. Gaithersburg matchup, I heard that B-CC was the stronger girls team and should be able to beat Watkins Mill. The B-CC boys supposedly gave Gaithersburg a good meet and could do the same against Watkins Mill, but the strength of Watkins Mill's sprints, hurdles and field should be enough to stay undefeated. The Gaithersburg boys should beat Northwood and Blair although blair has a couple strong sprinters worth watching out for.
Division IV
The Wootton boys and girls will look to remain undefeated against Blake this week.
The Richard Montgomery boys should be able to handle Whitman and Kennedy with ease. The three girls teams are a little more evenly matched. The RM girls have a little bit of everything including a couple of jumpers and throwers, but Whitman could beat them with distance and hurdles events as WJ did a week ago. Kennedy has weapons but is not as deep as the two large 4A schools.

I'm interested in the QO/Poolesville race- after the Poolesville boys won States in the 4X400 I wonder if QO can really win.
