Division I

24 of the 25 MCPS teams are competing in 11 meets across the county this week. Churchill is the only team with the week off. The Gaithersburg and Walter Johnson boys teams finished next to one another at the Coyote Invitational, but we will have to wait until after spring break to see this important matchup. We will wait a week beyond that to see if the B-CC girls can take on the powerful team from Wootton. In the mean time, I expect WJ/Gburg boys and B-CC/Wootton girls will remain undefeated at the end of this week.

Division II

The Watkins Mill boys fell short of Clarksburg in last week's dual meet, but they didn't go down without a fight. Watkins Mill has a chance for redemption in what should be a close meet this week against the indoor county champions, Quince Orchard. The Clarksburg boys and Northwest girls should have big wins this week to stay undefeated.

Division III

Richard Montgomery vs. Paint Branch may be the MoCo meet of the week. There is lots of talent on both sides, male and female. The Paint Branch girls took down a less than 100% Magruder team last week, but they will have a tougher time against the RM girls who are coming off a victory at the Coyote Inviational. The RM and Paint Branch boys had good showings at their weekend invitationals and both teams fill out all the events well. This one will be a tight one and could ultimately be the meet that decides the division champ.

Division IV

Rockville boys find themselves with a 2-0 record after week one, but Einstein will be a tough opponent with strong sprints, distance, and throws. Northwood girls should remain undefeated.
