What have you thought about the season up through this point?

I think this year is different from the past couple of years. This year, we have a lot of amazing runners in the county and many young guns starting to rise in their way to becoming the next county/state stars. - Myco Paulo, Watkins Mill

This season has been full of suprises, fast times, cross-dressing (Andrew Palmer), and Cedric Dana talking about Bagel City. - Sam Epstein, Walt Whitman

This season has been somewhat discouraging for me because it took so long for a break through in my performance as a shot- putter. Nonetheless, my peak hasn't come at a better time and I am excited to do my best at the upcoming meets that really count!!! - Brittany Moreland, Northwest

The Churchill Boys Team has really come together and is ready to take on the County. - Evan Whetsell, Winston Churchill

My entire guys team has given of themselves all season to the point that I almost cry watching them perform as they never fail to do what I try to instill in them as they become men. - Coach Robert Youngblood, Damascus

As soon as you thought Gaithersburg's 20 year reign over Montgomery County was over, they picked up a hurdler and a jumper, and they are once again the team to beat. - Coach Nick Caretti, Clarksburg

What has been the best moment of this track season up until this point?

Penn Relays has definitely been the most exciting experience of outdoor track so far. Just being able to run without any pressure or expectations made the trip all the more enjoyable. - Louise Hannallah, Winston Churchill

Jon Ryans SICK NASTY kick to win our heat of the 4x4 at Penn Relays - Brian Sickles, Richard Montgomery

The best moment of this track season up until this point was at the Uniondale meet when Will Palmer and an orange engaged in an epic battle and the orange totally pwned Will. - Leslie Morrison, Walt Whitman

The best moment besides Penn Relays, was the Loyola meet when coach randomly put me in the 100 meter dash. That meet everyone was doing something crazy. I was in a event I hadn't ran since last year's outdoor season and some people were put in shot put and discus for the first time ever. It was the funniest thing to watch because no one knew when or where to do their events. - Romula Hawthorne, John F. Kennedy

What are you excited about for the upcoming county championship?

The boys 800 will be the most exciting race of the day. - Reagan Lynch, Quince Orchard

Counties this year should be really exciting. There's so much talent in moco. - Jennifer Spencer, Walter Johnson

I am most excited about the 400m race which I will be in. Louis has barely been beating me all season so I want to see what is going to happen now that everybody is in tip top shape. - Derrick Powell, Northwood

The county championship is my favorite meet of the season due to the great competition that the county teams bring every year. There are always exciting performances and competitive races to watch. - Coach Beth Muehl, Northwest

I'm excited about running the open 200 and running that 4x2 against RM and Gburg. - Herve Doliska, Watkins Mill

I am really excited about the 300 hurdles at the county championship. This is going to be a close race I think, with many different people all trying to be the county champ in one of the hardest races to run! - Jason Stinner, Poolesville

In honor of those West Virginia track fans: "There are gunna be some kids runnin licadee split around that track." - Coach Nathan Timm, Col. Zadok Magruder

Heck yes I'm excited, because for me and the other seniors, this is our last hurrah. Times will be fast, records will be broken, and pwnage shall be wrought. - Sam Epstein, Walt Whitman

I'm excited about this upcoming county championship because I get to run with many competitors and see where I stand. Hopefully I stand out really well. - Shayla Davis, Watkins Mill

All I have to say about the qualifying standards is DAMN. Ha - talk about raising the bar MoCo! These standards are insane! - Chris Boyd, Thomas S. Wootton

I am very excited about the upcoming county championship. Our county is proving to be one of the best in the state with our depth and level of competition. - Zarena Sita, Damascus

I'm excited to see how I do in the county championship, even though this is my first year of track and so many people have experience under them. - BJ Shaw, Gaithersburg

I am excited about the 100 meter dash in this years County Championship, because I have a good chance of winning. - Jamal Lynn, Seneca Valley

I'm excited for all of the great battles that we're going to see on both the boys and girls side. Be it the sprints, distance, field, or relays, just about every event will have MANY (not just one or two) talented athlets capable of winning, which should lead to excellent competition. - Coach Eric Ellingson, Wheaton
