Dear Cross Country Coaches and Athletic Directors,

It’s my pleasure to invite you and your teams to the 2^nd Annual Magruder Cross Country Invitational. The meet will be held on Friday, September 11th, 2009 in an afternoon format. All public schools from Maryland and approved private schools from Maryland/DC will be invited to compete. The meet will serve as an early season invitational on a great cross country course. 2:30 PM Course open

3:30 PM Coaches meeting

4:00 PM Freshman Boys and Girls Race – Unlimited Entry

4:35 PM Varsity A Girls – Top 9 Runners

5:05 PM Varsity A Boys – Top 9 Runners

5:35 PM Varsity B Girls – Unlimited Entry

6:05 PM Varsity B Boys – Unlimited Entry

Entries:

All rosters must be entered via athletic.net. You can upload your hytek roster to athletic.net or enter your athletes. No other form of entry will be accepted! Schools may enter a team in any of all races. Only one race per athlete. Varsity B and Freshman races have unlimited entries. All “Varsity A” races are limited to a maximum of 9 entries.

Sanction:

The meet is sanctioned by MPSSAA and approved for competition between members and/or schools approved only.

Entry Fee:

$125 to enter four or more races. Please send payment and entry form to Nathan Timm, Head Cross Country Coach, Magruder High School, 5939 Muncaster Mill Road, Rockville, Maryland 20855. The payment deadline is Friday, September 4, 2009.

Scoring and Finish Line:

Coaches must be prepared to turn in accurate Quick Score. There will be detailed instructions on race day.

Course:

5000 Meters. Teams will be allowed to view course on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:45 – 5:15 the days leading up to the meet.

Awards:

There will be many prizes for teams and individuals. Medals to top 15 individuals in all races. Plaques to team winners in each race. There will not be an awards ceremony following the meet.

Facilities:

No Changing. Not much shade. Athletic Trainer will be on site.

Parking:

PLEASE FOLLOW SIGNS AND ATTENDANTS. ONLY PARK WHERE YOU ARE ASSIGNED. THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING.

Trash: Don’t Leave Any!!!!

T-Shirts: Custom T-shirts will be sold on site.
