Mocorunning.com in conjunction with the Georgetown Running Company will host two summer cross country races this summer.
The second race will be at Watkins Mill High School on August 5. Cost to run will be $5 cash or check paid on race day. Free to watch and cheer on your friends and teammates. Donations will be greatly appreciated!
Gatorade and Snickers Marathon bars will be sold for a dollar each.
Georgetown Running Company will be timing the race so you will have an official result.
The course will be a 5k course that is identical to the 3A/4A West Championship Course as it has been run in previous seasons. View the course map by clicking here.
The race start time will be 7:00 pm sharp. Show up early to register and warm up properly.
You may not enter the Watkins Mill High School building at any time.
There will be two porta-potties available near the outdoor basketball courts near the upper field. BRING YOUR OWN WATER AND FLUIDS TO DRINK!!!
Unlike the Gaithersburg course in Mocorunning XC Series Race #1, the Watkins Mill course is hilly and tough. Test your strength late in the summer against fellow young runners. Compare your August time to when you ran it in the past or when you run it later this season in October.

This event is a fundraiser for Mocorunning.com. Proceeds help offset costs associated with maintaining the website, traveling to cross country and track meets, and buying new and upgraded video camera and photography equipment. The more that is raised, the better the coverage of Montgomery County cross country and track & field will be in the upcoming school year.
