  • Paint Branch and Northwest led the way in the girls relays. Both teams broke 50 seconds in the 4x100, with Paint Branch clocking a 49.06 and Northwest running 49.55. Northwest ran 3:58.15 in the 4x400 while Paint Branch ran 4:02.69 reportedly without Arielle Statham.
  • Not surprisingly, Good Counsel had the top county time in the boys 4x400 at 3:24.39, but surprisingly Churchill and Gaithersburg were next at 3:26.20 and 3:26.38.
  • Paint Branch came away with the best county time in the boys 4x100 with a time of 43.24
  • Churchill boys broke 8:00 in the 4x800, finishing 25th overall in 7:59.58. Damascus also ran their best time at 8:03.46
  • Marcus Brown of Quince Orchard threw over 58 feet in the shot put for the second consecutive week, finishing fifth with a throw of 58-01.75
  • Marcus Willacy of Paint Branch set a personal best and county-leading mark in the triple jump of 45-04.50
  • Arielle Statham of Paint Branch jumped a county-best mark of 38-10, a foot shy of her personal best from indoor season
  • The "invincible" Solomon Haile fell to fourth place in the 3k in 8:29.29 (still five seconds faster than last year)
  • Georgetown Prep finished in 10:27 in the Penn DMR, still unable to recreate the magic from the Yale Indoor Classic where they ran 10:19.05

    Cassel's XBC Track Experience (Chantilly):

  • Wootton Girls Won Team Title
  • Jessie Rubin of Wootton was voted meet MVP for winning the 1600 in 5:14.56 and the 3200 in 11:03.52. She is the fourth Montgomery County girl to run under 11:05 this decade (only the second to do so outdoors). No MoCo girl has gone under 11:00 in at least ten years.
  • Wootton freshman Casey Dowling 12.58 in the 100 (1st), 25.87 in the 200 (2nd), 1:02.47 in the 400 (2nd), and 17-09.25 in the long jump (1st). The long jump mark ranks fifth in MoCo this decade (this coming just one week after Harris of Clarksburg became the first to jump over 18 feet in five years).
  • Good Counsel's Thor Serefenas threw 154-07 in the discus, a mark that ranks #7 in Montgomery County this decade and #2 in the county this year.
