Division I

Clarksburg played spoiler last week and handed the Sherwood boys and girls their first losses of the season. For both boys and girls, Quince Orchard will win the division with wins over Sherwood and Seneca Valley this week. Sherwood can potentially force a three way tie atop the division with wins over Seneca Valley and Quince Orchard. It seems unlikely for the Sherwood boys to beat QO as QO has far more weapons across all events. The matchup between the Quince Orchard and Sherwood girls should be much more interesting as Sherwood may have the advantage on the track while QO will pile up points in the field events.

Division II

The Northwest girls wrapped up the division title last week against Damascus. This week the undefeated Magruder boys will try to win the division over Paint Branch and Damascus. With strong relays and strong distance, Magruder will probably give PB and Damascus more than they can handle.

On the girls side, Damascus, Paint Branch, and Magruder all have a 2-1 division record and the battle for second place in the division is very interesting. Damascus has good weapons in the distance and field events, but I think Magruder's speed will triumph.

Division III

The B-CC girls wrapped up division III last week and now the boys' title is on the line as undefeated Gaithersburg and Watkins Mill will collide along with a speedy Blair team. I have a score prediction for this one: Watkins Mill 81, Gaithersburg 56. Watkins Mill will sweep four relays and limit Gaithersburg in the field.

Division IV

Richard Montgomery Boys and Wootton girls enter this week undefeated and will clinch the division with two more wins. Wootton girls should be able to do their thing and wrap up the title as they have the most well-rounded squad. If caught sleeping, RM could be caught off guard by Wootton and Kennedy's speed. If they rely on their field events and relays, victory should come.
