Scoring: Points will be awards based on the following point system:
For Individual Events:
10 points for a correct 'other' pick
5 points for a correct pick
0 points for an incorrect pick
Selecting "other" allows you to pick the entire field that is not listed as an option. For example, if you select "other" for an event and a breakout athlete wins it, you will receive 10 points.
For Team Scoring:
10 points for a correct pick
5 points for a pick that is off by 1 place
3 pts for pick off by 2 places
1 pt for pick off by 3 places
0 pts for pick off by 4-5 places
-1 pt for pick off by 6-7 places
-3 pts for pick off by 8-9 places
-5 pts off by 10 or more places
Your Predictions: To participate, you must enter a name for the MoCoRunning crown leaderboard at the top of the form. It is to your advantage to entirely fill out the form, but you do not have to. Do not pick the same team more than once in the team ranking. Doing so will void your submission.
Submissions: To participate in this competition, fill out the form on this page. Your predictions will be stored in the database until after the county championship when they will be scored.
Prizes: The winner of the overall prediction competition will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Georgetown Running Company. More importantly, the winner will receive 1 "mocorunning crown." Winners of each field will receive a quarter crown.
